Ohio Families Rally for School Choice and Charters

Busloads of students and educators from across Ohio joined state policy makers, community advocates and education reform leaders in a rally at the state Capitol to urge lawmakers to support the school choice and charter school programs that the Governor has vowed to dismantle.

State Voucher Proposals Met With Mixed Results In 2005

"There's every indication that it's going to be even more fervent in the future," said the associate director for policy at the Center for Education Reform. He called 2005 a "banner year for vouchers," noting that Ohio passed an expansion of its current program, which serves children from Cleveland's troubled school system.
