Intern at CER!

CER is looking for interns who want to gain knowledge about education policy and translate these ideas into action to create better opportunities in education. As an intern, you will have the chance to be an intricate part of CER’s day-to-day work in all aspects of education policy, including research, advocacy, legislative affairs, and public relations.

Newark Family & Community Organizer

The Black Alliance for Education Options (BAEO) has an open position for a Newark Family and Community Organizer.

Reporting to the State/City Director, the Family & Community Organizer has primary responsibility for cultivating relationships with parents, caregivers, and other community stakeholders in order to build a powerful grassroots constituency of advocates that champion education reform and parental choice in the community. The Family & Community Organizer functions as an active thought partner with the Director in using their intimate knowledge about community dynamics and the formal and informal power structures in the city to create a community asset map, as well as a plan for prioritizing engagement and organizing activities for the city.
