Following up about the NY Times’ Reform Coverage

Important Memo to Friends
RE: Following up about the NY Times‘ Reform Coverage

Dear Friends,

The New York Times delayed its expected, negative coverage of virtual learning and school choice this past weekend because the reporter was shown some additional information and viewpoints that she admittedly recognized as embarrassing if she neglected to provide more balanced coverage.

That said, we are not sure what the outcome will be, but are grateful for the opportunity this delay brings to better inform and educate the people we collectively serve.

To that end, we’ve compiled a toolkit featuring The Facts About Digital Learning, as well as Informing Your Community, Communicating with the Media, which includes suggestions for talking to the media and friends.

The toolkit can be found at here on CER’s website, along with additional resources that will help you to excel in communicating and advancing digital learning here.

Thank you for your tremendous response and interest in leading the charge to inform and enable parents to make choices for their children, their most precious resource.

Please let us know how we can help you further.

Thank you.

Best regards,
